Submission Guidelines: Send submissions as an MSWord or RTF attachment via e-mail ONLY to submissions@tertuliamagazine.com.
Tertulia Magazine assumes one-time rights at time of publication. The rights subsequently revert to the author or artist.
Please protect yourself by registering your work with the U.S. Copyright Office (www.copyright.gov) or by mailing your sealed manuscript to yourself via registered mail.
Published and unpublished writers are given equal consideration based on merit.
We accept the following kinds of submissions:
Poetry: Submit 3-5 poems. If you are published or have been published by us, we welcome your continuing contributions.
Fiction: All submissions should be double-spaced and include headers with your name and/or title, and page numbers. Short stories and novel excerpts are welcomed.
Non-fiction: Creative non-fiction, essays on contemporary issues, criticisms, and reviews are encouraged. Please use the same specs for fiction above.
Visual art: Please submit your work as a jpeg or provide a link where we can access your work.
Blogs: By invitation only. You must have been published more than once by Tertulia Magazine to receive an invitation to write a blog.
We welcome comments from our readers. Blog comments should meet the following guidelines or risk being deleted:
- Addresses the contents of the blog
- Written in Standard English and conforms to rhetorical standards, i.e., conform to Modern language Association (MLA) Style Guide
- No ad hominem or ad populum attacks, e.g., anti-semitism.
